Waste Removal in Arkley (NW7)

Waste Removal in Arkley (NW7)

We do waste and rubbish removal in Arkley, covering homes around Barnet Road, Barnet Gate and Rowley Green, including the NW7 side of the village. From a broken fridge to a houseful of furniture, our two-person crew does all the lifting and loading. Nothing needs carrying to the kerb.

Clearing homes from Barnet Gate to Rowley Green

Arkley stretches along the road between Barnet and Stirling Corner, with very different access from one property to the next. A detached house with a driveway gives us room to load close by. A cottage fronting Barnet Road can need more careful planning, particularly with passing traffic and nowhere immediately outside to stop.

We clear semis, larger family houses, flats and newer homes, adapting the job to the building. That might mean bringing wardrobes down from upstairs, emptying a loft before insulation work, or removing packaging and old fittings after a move.

Long gardens and outbuildings bring their own jobs. Around Barnet Gate and Rowley Green, we can collect old fencing, dismantled garden furniture, shed contents and the things that have gradually filled a garage. Our garage clearance service covers the lifting from inside, so you don’t have to shift everything onto the drive first.

A van and two people who do the carrying

Tell us where the waste is, and we’ll work out the practicalities. Photos of the pile, stairs and access usually let us give a free, no-obligation quote. If there’s a narrow side passage, a long carry from the garden or a shared entrance, showing us beforehand helps us arrive prepared.

Our price is based mainly on how much van space the load takes up, plus any items needing special disposal. We’ll agree the price before we start. You won’t be left guessing once the van is loaded.

We’re fully insured, and our two-person crew collects from anywhere in the property: lofts, upstairs rooms, gardens, sheds and garages. We plan where to park and load without blocking neighbours’ access. Same-day and next-day collections are often possible, so it’s worth calling if you’re working to a moving date or need space before tradespeople arrive.

When Barnet’s collection or Summers Lane makes sense

For one to three bulky household items you can put outside yourself, Barnet’s council collection can be a sensible option. The charge is £46.71. Items must be outside the front boundary, near the public footpath and visible from the road, by 6am. Crews don’t enter homes or back gardens.

For a manageable household load, there’s Summers Lane Reuse and Recycling Centre on Porters Lane, North Finchley, N12 0RF. Run for the North London Waste Authority, it opens daily from 9am to 4pm. Cars, bikes and pedestrians don’t need to book. Vans, trailers and stripped vehicles, including pick-ups, need booking at least 24 hours ahead, with proof of residency. Residents get six van bookings a year.

Our collection is useful when the waste is still upstairs, there’s more than you can transport, or you’d otherwise spend the day loading and making trips.

An Arkley clearance you can leave with us

We’re registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier, and you’ll receive a receipt or waste transfer note for every collection. You can check our registration on the Environment Agency’s public register. Householders are responsible for checking who takes their waste; using an unlicensed carrier risks a fine.

We sort what we collect for reuse and recycling where we can, take the rest to licensed sites, and sweep up before leaving.

You don’t have to be at the property throughout the clearance. We can arrange key collection or access through your agent or neighbour, complete the work while you’re away and send photos when it’s done. Before-and-after photos are available on request for any job.
