Waste Removal in Childs Hill (NW2, NW3)
We do waste and rubbish removal in Childs Hill, covering NW2 and NW3, from the streets off Cricklewood Lane to the homes towards West Heath and Golders Hill Park. At Waste Removal North West London, our two-person crew does all the lifting and loading. An old sofa upstairs, bags behind the shed or a garage full of things you’ve meant to sort for years: we’ll collect them from where they are.
We’re fully insured and registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier. You’ll get a receipt / waste transfer note for every collection.
Clearing Childs Hill’s terraces, semis and flats
Childs Hill’s older terraces and semis bring a familiar mix of jobs: furniture left after a move, lofts packed with boxes, and sheds that need emptying before repairs can start. In converted houses and flats around Finchley Road, the challenge is often getting bulky furniture down stairs and through shared entrances.
We’ll work out the route before lifting anything, taking care around bannisters, door frames and communal hallways. Our crew collects from lofts, upstairs rooms, gardens, sheds and garages. Nothing needs carrying to the kerb.
For a larger house clearance, we can remove unwanted contents across several rooms in one visit. We also collect smaller loads, including broken furniture, old appliances and rubbish left after decorating. Tell us what’s staying and what’s going, and we’ll take it from there.
Planning access around Cricklewood Lane and Hendon Way
Access makes a difference here. A collection from a front drive off Dunstan Road needs a different approach from an upstairs flat near the shops on Cricklewood Lane. Around Finchley Road and Hendon Way, we’ll check where the van can stop and how far we’ll need to carry the load.
A few photos of the waste usually let us give you a free, no-obligation quote. A picture of the entrance helps too, particularly for narrow side passages or shared access. We agree the price before starting, based mainly on how much van space your waste takes up, plus any items needing special disposal. Our pricing guide explains how we charge.
Same-day and next-day collections are often possible. If you’re arranging a clearance from elsewhere, we can collect keys or gain access through your agent or neighbour. We’ll send completion photos afterwards, and before-and-after photos are available on request for any job.
Barnet collections and the Summers Lane tip
Barnet’s bulky waste service can suit a small collection if you can move everything outside yourself. It charges £46.71 for one to three bulky household items. They must be outside the front boundary, near the public footpath and visible from the road, by 6am. Crews don’t enter homes or back gardens.
For waste you can transport yourself, Summers Lane Reuse and Recycling Centre is on Porters Lane, North Finchley, N12 0RF. It’s open daily, 9am to 4pm. Cars, bikes and pedestrians don’t need to book.
Vans, trailers and stripped vehicles, including pick-ups and vehicles without rear seats, need an NLWA van booking at least 24 hours ahead, with proof of residency. Residents get six van bookings a year.
Our service is useful when you’ve got a mixed load, need items brought downstairs, or want a back garden cleared without doing the carrying. Whichever carrier you choose, check the Environment Agency public register and get a receipt. Using an unlicensed carrier risks a fine.
We load, sort and sweep up
Once we’ve loaded the van, we sort what we collect for reuse and recycling where we can and take the rest to licensed sites. We sweep up before leaving, so you can get on with using the space.
